On the same day I held a clearing sale on account of Anstis Bros, at Omata. There was a large attendance of the public, with spirited bidding. The cows were a nice-looking lot and sold under good competition. Best cows made from £lO to £l4 15s, others £5 Ss to £7 J7s fld, the £5 os being small first calvers. The herd of SO, which included several empty and three-quarter cows, mado a good average of £S 18s. Bulls' made £lO 10s and £ll, weaner Jersev bull (well grown) £5 10s, motor bike and side-chair £.29, farm horse £2O 10a, drill £30.. Sundries sold well.
