SHIP'S COOK DROWSED. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Auckland, March- 30. A returned soldier, Albert Abel, aged 37, cook on the steamer Mako, slipped pn the gangway of that vessel last night and fell between the Maico and the wharf and was drowned.
