THE National Efficiency Board hereby notifies that in pursuance of the powers conferred on it by an Order in Council dated 27 th February, 1»17, it is proposed to '"i!d an Enquiry at the Old Council C!;a crs. New Plymouth, commencing on TUESDAY. 3rd APRIL, 1917. at 11. a.m., before THOMAS MOSS, Wellington Commissioner, to receive such evidence as may he tendered, bearing upon the advisableness of the restriction, continuance or abolition during the .war conditions of:— Agricultural and Pastoral Shows. Amusements, including Picture Theatres. Sports, including Racing. Enquiries will also be commenced on the same day by other members of the Board at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Further sittings will be held on subsequent dates, to be announced in the local newspapers, at AVhangarei, Hamilton, Te Aroha, Wanganui, Gisbornc, Hastings, Masterton. Palmerston North, Greymouth, Blenheim, Timaru, Oamaru, Gore, and Invercargill. Any persons desirous of giving evidence in Wellington, Gisborne, Hastings, Masterton, or Palmerston North should communicate with the undersigned so that arrangements may be made to take the evidence in a suitable order. If desirous of giving evidence in the Auckland, Canterbury, or Otago Military District, they should communicate with the Secretary to the District Commissioner at Auckland, Christehureh, or Dunedin, respectively. ing for a dissolution of her marriage with you wherein she alleged that on or about the 13th day of June, 1911, you wilfully deserted her, the said Euphemia Clarke without just cause and for five years and upwards, namely, from that date down to the present time, have continued to desert her without just cause. AND WHEREAS by order of our said Court, dated the 23rd day of Msrch, 1017, it was ordered that service of the citation herein should be effected by advertising the same twice at intervals of one week in the Taranaki Herald and Taranaki Daily News, newspapers published at New Plymouth. TAKE NOTICE that unless within twenty-one days after the last publication of such advertisement exclusive of the day of such publication you file in our said Court at New Plymouth an answer to the said petition the said Court will proceed to hear the said charge proved and to pronounce sentence therein notwithstanding your absence. AND further take notice that before filing the said answer you must enter an appearance in person or by your Solicitor at the Registry of the said Court at New Plymouth aforesaid and that if you do not enter such an appearance you will not be allowed to address the Court either in person or by Counsel at any stage of the proceedings.
