CONFERENCE OF DELEGATES.

As a result of the Australasian organisers' visit to New Zealand with the object of securing closer organisation of wen employed in the meat industry, a conference of delegates, representing all sections in the meat and allied trades, assembled in Wellington to-day. Fiftyone were present, Jlt. John Rijg; presiding. . A resolution was adopted that tho conference aflirms the desirableness of amalgamation. A committee wa"S appointed to draft a constitution, and tho conference adjourned till to-morrow.
