LEPPERTON. - (From Our Own Correspondent). I regret having to report tlmt Mr. Tom Openshaw's condition is still critical. He has not yet recovered consciousness. Everything in connection with the patriotic fete on Thursday next is now arranged, and it only remains for Mr. Bates to favor us with fine weather, when the success of the function will be a foregone conclusion. The annual meeting of the Lepperton Hall Committee was held on Saturday. Despite the fact that most of the concerts, etc., held during the year were for various patriotic purposes, and the committee made no charge for the use of the hall on such occasions, the balance sheet showed a tidy sum to the good. Mr. Max Lepper, the secretary, and his committee well deserved the vote of thanks they received for the careful and capable management of the hall's affairs during the past year. The following were elected for the coming year:— Messrs. F. W. Atkinson (president), Jas. Payne, jnr. (secretary), N. Sampson, M. Lepper, W. Clark, A. Hellier, T. Baker, N. Culpitt, and N. Wright.
