Herbert and ■ Goss—swam three miles, but although this year only two went that distance, t performances' were better. i M'Kay (a Manaia tojj) swam a little over 3J miles, and was in the water for - 2J hours, a meritorious feat. Broken--1 shire (N.P.) also swam three miles, Osborne 2 miles 700 raids, and eight - others over a mile. Messrs & A. M'Kin- • ncy and V. S. McMurray (masters) supervised the competitions, ar.d assist- • ance was given by Mr P. Schwartz - (caretaker of the baths). The temperature was 68. Several of the boys had - their chances spos by getting cramp.
