NEW MILITARY CONTRACTS.

SUPPLIES WORTH £200,000. Contracts for supplies for the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces for the current year have been awarded by the Advisory Board for Military Purchase. The contracts, which are for clothing, boots and food for the camps and transports, total in value £200,000. They have been placed, as far as possible, iii such a way as to distribute throughout the Dominion the necessary manufacturing, having regard to the best prices quoted. "No tender lias been accepted from any person or firm which has been convicted of wilfully breaking the terms of former contracts," the Minister'for Munitions, the Hon. A. M. Myers,- stated, "and, as there is to be no sub-letting of contracts, the offending firms will not be able to get round this prohibition."
