Madam Ristori ran a good race on Thursday, but Interlude wa3 just too good. After getting put back to last, Interlude came on at the finish of the Clifton Handicap and won easily. Tyson had everv chance on Thursday, and when going well at the bend stopped to a walk. Carmel Arch shaped well each day, but Starengo was too good for him in the second go, Moutoa Queen's dividend in the Scott Memorial Handicap was the biggest surprise of the meeting. Simple Sam. after running fourth on the first day, was fancied by his party for the Sandon Hurdles, but 'went .under to Portland Lad.v after a good race Sam paid nearly as much as the winner, how ever.

Bulltown sports went barmy when the localh-owned and tra'ned Nobleman won the Maiden from end to end. The Winner is by Sir Laddo—Lady StocUweil. and is well named.

Farewell, and when the former won there was a great mix-up. It is ridiculous that/two such similar names should be allowed. In fact ,it says little for the intelligence of those responsible for naming the' horse, as well as those who allowed it.

Old Bivouac was reckoned "apple pie" in the last race on Thursday, but condition just failed him over the last furlong. He will win again soon. Portland Lady ran consistently each day at Bulls, and she was backed for a ton of money when she won. Carlysian cost punters.good money on Thursday. The bay son of Elysian has done a. lot of racing lately, and t'lie first day's gallop evidently took all the steam out of him.

Grey Guard ran honestly each start, but at the weights would never beat Otter, 'Portland Lady and company. Multicipal had anything but a good ran in the Greatford Stakes, but he put in a brilliant run in the straight and won very nicely from Pacific Slope and Bronk Dekival. The latter is coming back to form, and is worth remembering for Feilding.
