By Telegraph.—Preca Association. Wellington, Last Night. Present indications are for variable winds, with freshening westerlies predominating, squally at times in and southwards of Cook Strait. The weather will be changeable, with scattered showers, especially in districts with a westerly aspect. The barometer is unsteady.
