ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
_~» . KILLED ON THE KAILWAY. By Telegraph.-—Press Association. Palmcrston N., March 22. Some time last night a fatality occurred on the railway at Shannon. The victim was John MeGurk, a clerk in a Saxmill. Deceased visitod Shannon in the evening and left for the mill about eight o'clock. He was struck by a passing train and the body was discovered this morning. Death was probably instantaneous. The victim had not been long in the district. KILLED ON THE RAILWAY. Palmerston North. Last Night. A fatal accident occurred at Longburn this morning. J. C. Tregwitha was about to cross the Manawatu railway iine on a bicycle when he heard a train coming.
