SUCCESSFUL FRENCH WORK. A USEFUL ADVANCE ITALIANS CAPTURE TRENCHES. Received Match 23, 1.35 a.m. London, March 22. . The correspondent at the French headquarters in Macedonia reports that, despite snow and rain foi weeks, the fighting on the Allied front at Lake Ochrieda and Cerna has successfully prepared the ground for more serious operations. The French advanced to the slopes of Cravehasten, bevond Magarevo, freeing Monastir from the daily bombardments therefrom. The Italians have captured a-quarter , of a mile of trenches beyond Hill 1050. 1 TRENCH CAPTURES.
