•HAWKK'S BAY JOCKEY CLUB'S VIEWS. Hastings, March 21. The. Hawke's Bay Jockey Club meeting to-day resolved that while recognising' there is considerable difference of opinion as to whether there should he some limitation in racing under the present conditions, we are of opinion that careful consideration of existing intercets in required, especially to see "that the breeding of thoroughbred hortos is not discouraged, and that the livelihood of a large class of men, trainers and others, are depending for a living on such employment, and are not suitable for other occupations, is not prejudiced, and that to obtain fair consideration of the question it is desirable that ihe Racing Conference call a meetng at an early date to appoint c committee to consider the whole question and make recommendations to the Government Hearing on the whole matter.
