THE DARDANELLES LOSSES. THOUSANDS OF BRITISH MASSACRED. "Received March 2-2, 12.50 a.m. London, March 21. Lord Newton, in the House of Lords, replying to questions regarding the exchange of prisoners, said Turkey had between four and five hundred Dardanelles prisoners interned in Asia Minor. As thousands of British were missing at the Dardanelles, it must be presumed that the great majority had been massacred.. The Government hoped to exchange 000 at an early date, including prisoners from Mesopotamia, and others later.
