Many will regret to hear of the death * of Mr. Albert Sowiy, who passed away at the New Plymouth Hospital on Tuesday after six months' illness,* He was---born at Cluristcluirch in 1805. and wa» ' the third son of the late Mr. Joseph <' Sowry, the first Mayor of WoocUilla He took great interest in the volunteers, of which he held the rank of sergeant. He wis a well-known rifleman, and won many prizes.
