Tho American Consul at Queenstown lias notified? the „State Department, that the captain's boat of the City of Memphis has been found deserted, with evidences ot its hasty abandonment. It is presumed that tho captain and nine of the crew in it were cither rescued by a passing steamer or imprisoned in a submarine. AUSTRALIA!? WAR PJSKS. London, March 19. The Government war risk on steamers to and from Australia has been raised to '3 per cent, and on sailers to 6 per cent. GERMANY'S FIGURES OF TONNAGE DESTROYED. Received March id] 8.15 p.m. Vancouver, March 19. Advices received from Berlin, state that 781,500 tons of merchant shipping was destroyed in February.
