DIPHTHERIA-HOW IT MAY BE AVOIDED. Diphtheria is usually contacted when the child tins a cold. The cold prepares the child's system for the reception of germs. When there are cases of diphtheria in the neighborhood children that have colds should bo kept at home and off the street until recovered.
