La Plata unquotable. Peas—The market ia firm. New Zealand maples and partridge nominally about 1003, c.i.f. Beans—Market firm; no New Zealand offering. DAIRY PRODUCE AND WOOL. London, March 15. The butter trade is at a standstill. Price?, are nominal, and sales are only possible at several shillings under 'the maximum. Buyers are holding .iff, blowing that it is practically certain that the maximum will not be laised. They are expecting it to bo lowered on March 23. Cheese.—The market Is firm at the maximum. 'Wool.—The Bradford wool market is exceedingly strong in tone, and all prices are advancing. Sixty-fours, 72(1; sixties, 71d and 70d. The Army Council has prohibited the movement of wool from ports without a permit. The object of the regulation. as to transit is for avoiding congestion at the port of destination, and minimising delay. The Council confidently expects that the scheme, will be a considerable advantage to the trade if all eon■".'rued eo-opcrate.
