In dismissing informations Against a territorial in' the employ of a stock firm, Mr. Kerr, S.M., said it was becoming a very great question whether agricultural laborers and milkers should not be exempted. It must not be forgotten that something more important was required of the country than merely sending away men to the front, for they fiad to see these men were promptly and continuously fed. Extensive dealings in stock were taking place, a great deal of it being intended* for export for feeding not only our own, but the British and Allied troops. Every possible facility must be given for seeing that food supplies were got away regularly for shipping, and nothing should be done to hamper those -thus engaged in their operations.
