On Thursday tlie Tennis Club are holding a local tournament, for which large entries have been received. The golf liitks are in splendid order at present, they having been played over all through the summer months', and the greens have received special attention, and consequently are in splendid condition for the opening of the season. I understand that at least a dozen new members are coming in this year. Mr Lysons lias been busy lately laying out tlie piece of reserve for additions to the cemetery.
