DOUBLE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT.' MARGUERITE CLARK AND ROBERT WARWICK. Thomas W. Lawson's famous Wall Street story, "Friday the TKrl- .-ntls,'" has been pieturised by the World Film Corporation, and wilf be presented at the Empire to-night, together with .i five-reel Marguerite Clark romance, entitled "Molly Robert arwiek and Gerda Holmes are featured in "Friday the Thirteenth." Warwick appears as Robert Brownley. So phenomenal was his success on the stock nun ket that he was called the Napoleon of Wall Street, Operating with him .was his father, Peter Brownley, a long-time enemy of Judge Lee Sand's, of Virginia. Sands is made a bankrupt by the machinations of the elder Brownley, and his daughter Benlah comes to New York, and, through the inlluence of mutual friends, secures a position as confidential secretary to the younger Brownley, whose associations with ' her rapidly leads to love. 'I lie girl, prompted bv l.cr revenged, crazed father, steals information which enables the judge to regain his fortune and renew his attempts to ruin the Brownlcvs. A •phone message from the girl is misinterpreted, and once more the judge finds hhisclf without a penny. Blaming the Brownleys again, he rushes from the broker s office swearing to get Peter Brownley. Half-an-hour afterwards a loud report disturbs the occupants of the Brownley house, and a man is found dead in the drawing-room. The revelation of the identities of the dead man and the murderer supply a most novel climax to a most interesting film. But then there is the girl. What of her? She was discovered in her eavesdropping, and—but who can tell what a man and woman will do when they love each other? "Molly Make-believe'' is a fanciful romance, resembling no other photo-plav. Marguerite Clark is featured as Molly, which part she piavs to perfectoin. Produced by the Famous Players Co., the •settings are very pretty and effective, especially the "coming of spring" scene. Seats may be reserved at Collier's.
