NEW PLYMOUTH 'A' DEFEATS FITZROY. At tlie town green on Saturday, in the Gilmour Cup contest, New Plymouth 'A' easily defeated Fitzroy at each- of the three rinks. Interest centred on the Smith-Smart rink, which should have been a contest from start to finish. Up to the eleventh round it was an even go, but from the 12th to the 20th round Smith only scored one point, and thereafter was unable to make up the deficiency. Owing to burnt heads (9), the game was nob finished till about 6 p.m. Scores are as follow, Fitzroy beino mentioned first at each rink:- ° Beadle, Sole, Rennell, Smith (s) in v.
