Rarawa, from North, Friday, THE KARU The Kan; arrived at the breakwatsr yesterday morning; with 100 tons of general cargo from Wellington. She sailed in the afternoon for Westport to load coal for New Plymouth. A SHIP OP OLD. The hulk Juhilce, of the Westport Coal Company, which is to be towed to Auckland next week, is exactly SOyeaia old this year (says an exchange). She was huilt at Cumberland in 1857 of oak, and coppered to the bottom, and is still in good condition. After many experiences as a smart clipper in the East she came across from Australia under sail. Her period of usefulness as a freighter being at an end, she waa acquired by the Gear Meat Company, and was used for carrying frozen meat from Pstone to the cargo steamers at the wharves. Later the old vessel was purchased by the Westport Coal Company, and has continued in that service ever since. .
