j HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce Ims received the following cablegram, dated Londou, March 3, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. (Note: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot):— Meat. —All descriptions of meat coin tinuo in poor demand on account of do creased consumption. New Zealand frozen meat, prices are unchanged (mutilated word here). Argentine lamb, prices are higher owing to continued small supplies of New Zealand mutton and lamb. New Zealand.mutton .(mutilated ■word here), per lb, B%d, ewe mutton S%<l; Argentine mutton, heavyweight, 10% d; lightweight, lid; New Zealand and Australian' lamb, lOd; Argentine lamb, heavyweight, 12Vid; lightweight, 12Vad; New Zealand beef, no supplies available; Argentine beef, no arrivals this week. Butter. —The market continues firm. ■No quotations, with the, exception of French, per cwt. 212s to 2195; Irish factory, 194s to 2035; Australian, 214s to 218s, exceptionally 2205, unsalted 214s to 218s, New Zealand salted itnd unsalted, 224s to 22Ss, good to fine quality 218s to 2225. Cheese—Market practically cleared. No quotations, with the exception of Canadian, white and colored (stock!) light) 17-2s to I'TOs per cwt. Estimated Canadian and United States cheese stocks: London, Liverpool and Bristol, 49,500 boxes, against 96,000 at the same time last year. Estimated New Zealand and Australian cheese stocks in London and Brisbane is nil, against 21,100 crates at same time last year.
