COUNTERACTING GERMAN INTRIGUE. ALLIES' PROMISES TO CUINKSK GOVERNMENT. Received March i, 5.5 ji m. Pekin, March 3. The Allied Ministers addressed the Chinese Government, sympathising with the attitude taken in regard to Germany, and promising to favorably con> sider the suspension of the Boxer indemnity during the war and the revision of the tariff in the event of China severing her relations with AustroGermany. ( China has hitherto hesitated owing to the absence of any intimation from the Allies that such action would be welcomed.
