The Allied Ministers addressed the Chinese Government, sympathising with the attitude taken in regard to Germany, and promising to favorably con> sider the suspension of the Boxer indemnity during the war and the revision of the tariff in the event of China severing her relations with AustroGermany. ( China has hitherto hesitated owing to the absence of any intimation from the Allies that such action would be welcomed.
