RESTRICTION OP IMPORTS. Paris, March 2. It is officially announced that the Government is carefully considering the effect on French trade owing to the restrictions of British imports. France has entered pourparlers in London, which are being actively followed up. The British scheme includes provision for the grant of certain concessions. The French Government has the best reasons for thinkin'g that Britain will give French exports the benefit of special licenses to an extent which will enable legitimate interests to be safeguarded. ECONOMIES AND RESTRICTIONS. Received March 3/ 8.15 p.m. Paris, March 3. An order has been issued to economise coal. Theatres, cinemas, and music halls are restricted to three evening performances and two matinees weekly] Omnibuses and tubes stop running early except on theatre nights. Parisian's have accepted the restrictions without a grumble.
