EFFECT OF BRITISH RESTRICu.ONS. EXPORT TRADE RUINED. JAPAN WILL NOT ABANpON THE ALLIES. Received March 3, 8.15 p.m. Tokio, March 3. It is declared that many-branches of export trade will be ruined by the British trade restrictions. Exporters are urging the Government to secure itfodi(ications. It is estimated there will be three millions loss annually. The leading newspaper, Jijishimpo, exhorts merchants to sacrifice their own interests in the cause ot' humanity. It is stated that no proposal lias been received to join in a possible war against the United States. It is an outrageous presumption that Japan will abandon the Allies.
