Wellington, March 1. The final agricultural and pastoral statistics for the 1915-1 C season are published in this week's Gazette. The preliminary tables "were published in November and December last, and the final figures do not show any substantial alterations, though they ha,ve been corrected to some extent.
The area under wheat for threshing in tlio 1915-16 season js set down at 329,708 acres. The yield per acre is averaged at 21.G0 bushels, and the total produce is estimated to have been 7, 120,770 bushels. The returns collected monthly from the. threshing mill owners, during the 1915-ll> season, indicated that approximately 0,730,W0 bushels ot wheat had been threshed. Particulars collected by tlie police from the farmers themselves gave an actual yield of a little over 7,000,000 bushels. The final figures show a slight increase in the estimated return.
The figures published in the Gazette show that tile yield of oats in the lfllo--10 season was 7,073,000 bushels, barley 8-25,051 bushels, and maize 34*2,780 bushels.
