MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
In the Magistrate's Court, Kew Plymouth on Thursday, before Mr A. Crooke, S.M., George Ealph Sogers was charged on the information of his wife with failing to maintain her and her four children. Defendant- was ordered to pay 30/- per week. For breaches of the borough by-laws, fines were inflicted as follows: Krnest. Allan, riding a bicycle on South Road at night without a light, 10s (costs 7s); Leslie Clark, exceeding the speed limit in car in Devon street, £2 (!)s costs); Samuel Teed, driving car on South Road without lights. £1 (7s); Roy Jury, driving gig at night in St Aubvn street without lights, 10s (7s); Oswald Jensen, riding bicycle on footpath in Hine street, 10s" (7s)'; Herbert Russell, driving eight loose horses on South Road, 10s (7s); Joseph Levin, carrying passenger on motor cycle, 5s (7s).
