The sheep championships were awarded as follows: English Leicester ram, champion, J. H. Street (Bell Block); ewe, champion, and reserve, A. J. and G. R. Old (Sentry Hill). _ • Lincoln, ram, champion and reserve, P. Bremer (Matapu); ewe, champion and reserve, W. B. Grant (Westown). Ponmpv Marsh, rnm and ewe. champion and reserve, J. Forbes (Normanby). Shropshire,'' ram, champion, J. 'll. Stre-t (Bell Block), reserve, J. H. Allen Tikornngi); ewe, champion and reserve, J. H. Street (Bell Block). BOYS' COW-JUDGING COMPETITION. This competition was inaugurated for the first time in New Plymouth at this how, and so successful did it prove that it is certain to retain its position on future schedules.. No fewer than 38 mors entered from various schools in North Taranaki, and the keenness and intelligent interest displayed augurs well lor the future of these young farmers. Sergei and Fulton had charge of •his conqviilion. the educational value of \v)il h cannot be gainsaid. Results ..ill not lie known for a day or two, as Mr. E. GrifUrM the judge, has the arduous task of adjudicating on over 170 cards. j
