CHILD'S DEATH FROM SCALDING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Te Kuiti, Yesterday. A sad accident occurred at Te Kuiti yesterday. A child ol : Mr and Mrs Teesdale, one year old, upset a basin of enabling water with fatal results. Tlie jury returned a verdict that death was due to heart failure, caused by shock through scalding. SEAMAN DISAPPEARS WHILE BATHING. Auckland, Last Night, A seaman, named Simpson; belonging to the steamer Ngatiawu, while bathing oil' Ohiwa, disappeared. At the same time a scream was beard, and it is believed lie was taken by a shark.
