Sydney Feb. 27. Dethili have been received of the hurricane in New Caledonify on February 14, which was described as one of the heaviest experienced. The Pagamonne mining settlMfient. was totally wrecked; and many were injured. Six men in a motor-boa.t attempted to ' save the lighters in the harbour, but were blown out to sea and three men drowned. The Ouaeo townslyp suffered heavily. Two were killed and eighteen injured. Fifteen lighters, a hulk and two tugs were sunk. The steamers La France and Bcllambi were blown ashore.
