WESTERN ATTACK.
BRITISH ADVANCE MAINTAINED. ELEVEN MILES BY THREE GAINED. SEVERAL VILLAGES OCCUPIED. EXEJIY ATTACKS REPULSED. SUCCESSFUL RAIDS. Received Feb. "27, 8.55 p.m. London, February 27. Field Marshal Sir Douglas llaig reports:—Our advance lias been maintained. It extends over an eleven-mile front eastward of Guedecourfc to the southward of Gommeeourt to a depth of two miles. We. occupy the Butte de Warlencourt, the villages of Warlencourt, Eaucourt, Pys and Mfraumont We have readied the outskirts of Le Barque, Irles and Puisscuxaumont. We repulsed, with loss, an attack on a British post southward of tho Somine. We successfully raided the neighborhood of Arras, Monchy.au-Bois and Lens.
