SALVATION ARMY.
' HARVEST FESTIVAL. A successful harvest festival meeting was held in the Salvation Army Hall in street on Monday evening, when nn interesting vocal and musical programme was given by the Army's band and members of the corps, Mrs. Hultquist and Mrs. Colville contributing solos. Mr. W. H. Cobham also arranged and gave several excellent tableaux, entitled "Faith, iHope, Charity,'' which were much appreciated. After the programme, a quantity of fruit and vegetables which had been donated were sold. The festival was continued last evening, when another concert wan held, in the presence of a large gathering. Items were contributed by Mr. Mac* donald, Mr. and Mrs. G. 11. White, Miss Edna White, Mr. Sydney White and Miss Elsie, White. The band played a number of marches, Mr. W. F. Trim playing the euphonium parts. The hall was decorated in keeping with the occasion, greenery and sheaves of wheat being featured in the decorations. A quantity of .sewing, fruit and vegetables wore sold.
