GILMOUR CUP COMPETITION. NEW PLYMOUTH DEFEATS FITZROY Tn the Gilmour Cup match with New Plymouth, played at Fitzroy last Saturday, the local players made a sorry exhibition, although the game was enjoyable. The visitors put in three strong rinks, while the Fitzroy teams were obviously iweak, thoroughly outclassed, and suffered a rout, the final scores being: New 'Plymouth 97, Fitzroy ■i3. Details are as follow, New Plymouth being mentioned first: —

VVinfield, Hooper, Wood, H. Smart (skip) 35, v. Roberts, Gibson, Beadle, Smith (skip) 12. WEST END DEFEATS NEW PLYMOUTH. At the New Plymouth green three rinks from West hind defeated the New Plymouth B team, West End winning at each rink.
