EVERYBODY'S.
THE STEPPING STONE. SHOWN TO RECORD CROWES SATURDAY. \ "The Stepping Stone," a tip-top Triangle "feature" drama attracted thronged attendances at Everybody's Pictures on Saturday, wlien it was presented for the first time. The story relates how a young city clerk gets on in the world through the brave assistance, encourage ment, and influence of his devoted wife. A millionaire share-broker even pushes the young clerk on until he becomes a prominent man about town. Then the husband loses his head and seeks to discard his wife, who Has been his stepping-stone to success. The millionaire discovers the husband's infamous ingratitude, and tears him down from the pedestal he has raised him to. The theme is artistically developed and works up to a pleasing climax. Mary Boland is cast in the part of the wife, Robert MeKim as the husband, and Frank Ke.enan the millionaire friend. Words '-could convey their impressions no more clearly than do Kcenan's features speak hatred, love, contempt, or amusement in the tense, dramatic scenes of the play.
