ASSISTANT SECRETARYSHIP^ MR. Mr Johnson has taken a keen interest! in musical matters, and is treasurer ofi tiie Christchurch Glee and Madrigal So-; tiety. He is also a keen cricketer, anrfj is one of Canterbury's first-grade playi ers, some years ago having headed the, averages in bowling. He is also a ten-" nis player. Mrs Johnson is well knownj in swimming circles, being captain 0? the Christchurch Ladies' Swimming Club. Mr Johnson will probably takq up Us duties in New Plymouth at tbjj end of March.
