Tlit Songs of the Sentimental Bloke (C. J. Dennis) were repeated by Mr. Laurence Campbell 'before a large and appreciative audience in the Good Templar Hall last evening. Mr! Campbell did full justice to the author's interpretation of the musings of the Bloke, and gave life to an inlorestin? book. The original descriptive power-) of the author caused much merriment.
This evening, to mark his last appearance, Mr. Campbell will present a miscellaneous programme of elocutionary gems so varied that it should appeal to nil tastes. A scene from Shakespeare, poems by Kipling, Wallace. Ogilvie, Ethel Turner, Paterson, Storrie, Barry I'ain, and Adams.' A special feature of to-night's programme is a series of war verses by Wallace, which are entirely new to this country, and a story of heroism, "The Hell (late of Soissons,'' Mill no doubt be a very popular item. During his previous visit Mr. Campbell made a feature of bis musical monologues, and the more popular will be presented to-night, and also the old favorites "Jim Bowker" and "The House that Jack Built." It is seldom that we are favored with a visit of such an eminent elocutionist, and we trust that the public will avail themselves of the opportunity of hearing Mr. Campbell. ' 15
