The Travelling Medical Board sat a( Rotorua some little time ago for the medical examination of invalided soldiers, Six moil, utter physical wrecks, ghastly shadows of themselves in the blight days before the war were wheeled into the room by nurses. Having been examined they ' were awarded allowances by the Pension Board averaging about thirty-five shillings each. The half-dozen, it may lie remarked, were not all siii'jle men.
