TURF TOPICS. (By "Moturoa.") The Dunedin and Woodviile Autumn Meetings open to-day. Amongst the acceptors at the latter meeting are Grey Guard, Rawakorc, and Record Breaker, Mid, in several horses that raced at New Plymouth last week, such as Housewife, Lady Middleton, and Tyson, are engaged, and their running will be watched with interest by those" who backed them here.

Tins Woodviile Cup, one mile and a quarter, bears a very open appearance. Red Ribbon, Ladil'y, Beltane, and Housewife have all been running well lately Housewife's form at the Taranaki meeting showed that she was in excellent nick. Her failure in the Paul Memorial Handicap may be accounted for by the fact that she was badly blocked at the home, turn when making her run. Several riders in the race are of the opinion that she would have nearly won but for the interference. She should] have a good following to-day. yj , Form Up is likely to start a hot order in the Telephone Handicap, five furlongs.
