EFFECT OF COAL FAAIIXE. Copenhagen, February 12. The coal famine throughout Denmark is severe, and the strictest economy :s being enforced. Some cities have stopped supplies of gas and electricity. The situation is also acute in Norway, but it is anticipated that the first loads will arrive in the spring from the Spitzhergcn mines, which contain five" millions of ton?.
