PATRIOTIC WORK.
AVOUNDED SOLDTERS' REQUIREMENTS. The- local branch of the British Red Cross Society ihas received the following communication from AVellington: "His Excellency the Governor has received the following cable from Lord Plunket: 'Goods most required are pyjamas, inulorflamiols, under-pants, shirts with khaki cellars, woollen shirts without collars, -socks, mufflers, slippers with leather sole;, woollen waistcoats, gloves and mittens.' The AVellington committee will be grateful for face cloths (12in. x 12in.) and treasure bags (lOin. x 12in.) with purse strings."
