HIGH COMMISSIONER'S MARKET REPORT. The following corrections have been made in the cablegram dated London, February 3, 1017, received by the Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. Certain words in the above cablegram have been repeated, with the result that the translation of the meat and hemp sections as issued yesterday require mending. The corieet translation reads as follows: — Meat.—All descriptions of frozen meat continue in good demana. The demand for New Zealand frozen meat is in excess of supplies. Prices arc higher, frozen meat not under Government control owing to expectation of supplies being retarded on account of submarines. Hemp.—The market is firm, and prices continue to advance. Manila market is excited by speculative demands due to the fear that supplies will be short. New Zealand, business dull, little offering; quotations are nominal. January-March shipment, good fair, £O2, fair £6O; Gov-ernment-graded fair Manila £72, coarse £O4.
