WESTERN ATTACK.
CAPTURE OF GRANDCOURT. HEAVY' losses inflicted, successful British raids. XN'Coived Keb. 3,15 a.m. London, Feb. S. Field-Marshal Sir Douglas Ilnig reports: As the result of continuous presume on both banks of the Anerc, tile enemy has been forced to evacuate (iramleourt, which is entirely in our possession, with the defensive works adjoining. Some prisoners were taken.
The enemy, during the last few days, lias met with heavy losses. The enemy's attempted raid at night-time at Gueudecourt broke down under our barrage. We raided the lines south-west of La Bassee .yesternight, killed a number of Hermans, destroyed their dug-outs, and took some prisoners.
There have been many air fights. Three Herman aeroplanes 'were driven down damaged, and two of ours are missing.
