"THE SENTIMENTAL BLOKE." The world-wide popularity of C. J. Dermis' book of verse, ''The Sentimental Bioko," is unique in the history of Australasian literature, and few who have read this delightful work will begrudge the fame and fortune which it has eanv ed the author. The various episodes in the courtship of ''Bill" and "Doreen" are diliciously treated and the work is genuinely wholesome, healthy and humorous, with, an undercurrent of pathos—ana rich in its real humanity. The popular elocutionist and entertainer, i\lr. Lawrence Campbell, who will be well remembered by New Zealandors. has secured from C. J. Dennis the sole performing rights of "The Sentimental Bloke," and has recently been giving recitals in the chief centres of Australia aiid so successful have they proved that. Messrs. J. and N. Ta it have decided on a tour of the Dominion, during which Mr. Campbell will present ''The Bloke' in its' entirety—and it is said that Mr. Campbell is the author's idea) interpreter of his work. The season, which is limited to three nights, commences at the Good Templar's Hall 011 Thursday, February 15, and the Bn.v Plan of reserved seats is announced to open at 11. Collier and Co. on Monday, February 12.
