FIRES.
A SERIOUS LOSS. A MILLION FEET OF FILMS DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night, A Are occurred this evening' in ollices occupied by tlie Amalgamated Film Exchange of Australasia, situate in Gleeson's Bnildiugs. The fire was got under control within twenty minutes, with practically no damage to the building, which is of ferro-eonc-rele, but 1,250,000 feet of film, valued at £25,000, was destroyed. The Film Exchange- was insured for £4250 in the Royal Exchange ollice. The origin of the lire U unknown.
