TORI' TOPICS. ■ (By "Moturoa.") The acceptances received for lu morrow's races are uniformly good, and the class of horses engaged should be a big' ,: dra\v." Winners appear to be well concealed, and patrons are assured of two days of interesting racing. The course is in line order, and the secretary ] (Mr. E. P. Webster) has everything well in hand to ensure a successful gathering. If Rewipoto, Depredation, Lady Penury, Toatere, Analogue, and the rest go to the post for the Taranaki Cup, it should prove an interesting race. All are good winners, and recent form points to t'hcni as very fit horses. At level terms many .judges will prefer Rewipoto to Depredation; and Lady (Penury is considered a second-day horse. Toatere may be all the better for a race, and, on Hawera running, Analogue appears to have a "pull" on the lightweights. Tcte-a-Tete has not been paid up for in. the sprints, but Xvstad, Hushman, Interlude, Ring Lupin, Tree Lucerne, Cease Fire, and Astov hold their ground, and popular favorites like Hushman, Cease Fire, etc., arc likely to have big following*. The hurdlers are a moderate crowd, though a field of seven is very satisfactory. Captain Miro is nicely 'handicapped with 10.10, and it will be interesting to note how lie shapes against the placed division at Hawera. There was not much between Camp Guard, Flying Camp, and Combustion at the finish of the Okaiawa Hurdles on Thursday, and to-morrow Camp Guard will ho meeting Flying Camp on 71b., and Combustion on 131b., worse terms. The finish should be interesting. The minor hack races have all filled splendidly. Fourteen remain in the Okato Hack Handicap, eight ill the Timaru Hack Handicap, ten in the Minii Writer, and nineteen in the Moturoa Eloclric Hack Race. Those entered in i-liuV consistent performers like Dingle, Madam Ri.-tori, Sunny Climes, etc.
