RIFLE SHOOTING.

The Rifle Club will take the postpone;! Saturday Cup competition at 500 ami (U)€ yards to-day; the competition at W'O and 700 yards will lie held over, as the 700 yards firing point will not be useable for a few days owing to a grass fire. A team of Ave members of the Sew Plymouth Post and Telegraph Corps will take part in the Western Electric Shield competition at the Waiwakaiho range to-day. The competitors will fire 10 rounds at each of the 500 and (300 yards langcs. Teams from 'all over New Zealand will take part in the competition, and will fire, at the ranges in the respective towns in which they reside.
