Not many years ago anything in tViK form of nil invention or labor-saving device wus looked upon with suspicion,' una if the invention proved to be exceptionally clever the inventor ran a serious risk of losing his' liberty, or of being .burned at the stake on a charge of witchcraft. Nowadays, however, people are more enlightened, and. anything that tends to increase the general standard of comfort or lighten man's labor is hailed with delight, and the fortunato inventor is honored as a public benefactor.
Scores of patented article? are at present being sold in the Dominion, one of the most important of which is tho "Wizard'' Lighting System for country homes. This Lighting System has made the old method of house lighting by means of kerosene lamps or acetylene gas (]iiite obsolete. The plant is simple in construction, easy to operate, cheap to run, and is sold at a. very low price, complete plants being obtainable frojn :Cls upwards. It cannot get out of order, and will last a life-time. Over 200(1 homes in New Zealand arc beinj made bright and cheerful by the ''Wizard" Light. The lamps in the various rooms are connected with a sinall reservoir, which outside the house, by means of a small brass tube, which carries benzine or petrol from the reservoir to the lamps. At the lamps tlie benzine is turned "into vapor, the vapor mixes with air, and makes a gas which is burned in an inverted gas mantle, just the same as coal gas, except that tho '•Wizard'' Light is softer, whiter and cheaper. "Wizard" Lamps are patented in New Zealand aitd all foreign countries, bo, thev cannot' be copied, but, as with all other successful patents, other lamps are being sold that are something liko the "Wizard'' in appearance, but are r.ot fitted with the special patented features which makes the "Wizard" Light such a wonderful success. Government post offices and wireless station#) banks, school*, colleges, churches, halls, stores and everv description of buildings are being fitted with "Wizard" Lighting System-', and country pcoplo should niake a point of writing to Messrs Early Bros., 30 Cuba street, Wellington, for full particulars of the "Wizard'' Light before being persuaded to purchase any other form of lighting system •—there is no other "Just as good."—Gl7
