WHARF LABORERS' TROUBLE. By Telegraph.—Pre?? Assidation. Wellington, Jan. 3! No solution of the trouble along the waterfront has yet been reached. This morning the wharf workers did rot turn up till 8 o'clock, instead of 7 4K, the usual time, and the labor foreman refused to engage them. The result is that about a thousand men are hanging alout the wharves and sitting on tiio stringers with.no work to do. The only fangs working arc those who were working yesterday. I It is understood that the freezing companies are not sending any further r.rat to the port for shipment at present. Tt is not intended to engage any labor to-day.
