Gravndler, secretary of the Agrt« cultural and Postoral Workers' Union, forwarded a letter to the Minister of Dccfnce announcing that, in future ha «'il] act ior shearers for whom he naa already applied for exemption. Mr, Grayndler says that as the Military Ser* vice Board to-day adjourned the >ear< ers' appeals for fourteen days, as>" decided to summon appellants to appear personally before the boards in their respective districts, he cannot appear for any other than tho.=e heard in Wellington. Mr. Urayndler states that lie Is instructed bv his organisation to protest against the personnel of the Board, in so far as_ the great majority of rural workers are not represented thereon, and members are not getting a fair deal according to the provisions of the Act, and, further, that tlie labor represents" fives appointed do not directly repra* sent the workers of the Dominion.
